Carlo Verdone in Berlin. The Roman director will be the special guest of the third edition of Italian Film Festival, which will be held in the German capital from 2-4 October 2015.
Carlo Verdone will be the protagonist of the first day of the festival. For the first time in Germany, his latest film, Under a lucky star, will be shown, as well as Carlo!, a documentary on Verdone directed by Gianfranco Giagni and Fabio Ferzetti. A meeting with the Berlin audience will follow, together with the presentation of a special monograph in German and Italian about Verdone’s career. Great attention will be paid to the festival, during which some of his best-known films will be shown in other cinemas of the German capital in October and November.
During the Italian Film Festival Berlin, over twenty of the latest most important Italian films will be screened, many of which will be accompanied by meetings with actors, directors and experts.
The complete programme of the festival will be made official in the second half of September – at the same time as the start of the ticket/subscription pre-sale – during a press conference that will take place in Italy.
The festival will take place once again in the famous cinema Babylon. On this occasion, Lazio, la grande bellezza (Lazio, the Great Beauty) will be set up, an exhibition on the places and protagonists of the cinema in Lazio, organised in collaboration with the Tourism Agency of Lazio.
This festival aims to export the best Italian films and show them to the German audience and cinema experts. For this reason, many side events will take place and there will be a special area for the cinema market managed by the Roma Lazio Film Commission.
More than 2500 people attended the 2014 edition, which lasted three days. The guests of the previous edition were Pif, Alice Rohrwacher, Fabrizio Gifuni, Edoardo Leo, Marco Martani and Michele Astori.
The Italian Film Festival Berlin is organised by Tuscia Film Fest in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Berlin. The media partner of the event is Berlino C&P Magazine.

CARLO VERDONE ALL’ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL BERLIN 2015
Carlo Verdone a Berlino. Il regista romano sarà l'ospite d’onore della terza edizione dell’Italian Film Festival in programma nella capitale tedesca dal 2 al 4 ottobre 2015.
Carlo Verdone sarà al centro della prima giornata del festival. Verranno proiettati in anteprima tedesca il suo ultimo film, Sotto una buona stella, e il documentario Carlo! di Gianfranco Giagni, Fabio Ferzetti a lui dedicato. Seguirà uno speciale incontro con il pubblico berlinese durante il quale verrà presentata anche una speciale monografia in tedesco e italiano dedicata alla sua carriera e si parlerà della rassegna che porterà, ad ottobre e novembre, alcune delle sue più celebri pellicole in altri cinema della capitale tedesca.
L’Italian Film Festival Berlin 2015 proporrà oltre venti proiezioni dei più significativi film italiani dell’ultima stagione molte delle quali saranno abbinate a incontri con attori, registi e addetti ai lavori.
Il programma completo del festival sarà annunciato la seconda metà settembre - in concomitanza con l’inizio della prevendita di biglietti e abbonamenti - durante una conferenza stampa.
Sede della manifestazione sarà ancora una volta il popolare cinema Babylon dove per l’occasione sarà allestita anche la mostra Lazio, la grande bellezza, dedicata ai luoghi e i protagonisti del cinema della regione italiana e organizzata in collaborazione con l’Agenzia di Promozione del Turismo del Lazio.
Obiettivo del festival è esportare l’eccellenza del cinema italiano al pubblico e agli addetti del settore in Germania. A tal proposito Sarà previsto anche un apposito spazio dedicato al mercato che sarà curato dalla Roma Lazio Film Commission e numerosi eventi collaterali.
L’edizione 2014 ha registrato più di 2500 presenze in tre giorni. Ospiti del festival furono Pif, Alice Rohrwacher, Fabrizio Gifuni, Edoardo Leo, Marco Martani e Michele Astori.
L’Italian Film Festival Berlin è organizzato dal Tuscia Film Fest in collaborazione con l’Istituto di Cultura italiana a Berlino.
