The apartment is situated in one of the trendiest and most popular areas of Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg, which is especially loved by young people with or without children.
You find the apartment in a beautiful historic building in the tree-lined street Lychenerstraße, very near to Helmholtzplatz, where there is a nice little park with a playground. The area around Helmholtzplatz (known as Helmholtz quarter) virtually bursts of life and atmosphere: with such a big choice of restaurants, bars, little (also secondhand) shops and boutiques you will never feel bored! Within a stone's throw of the apartment there is the famous Kulturbrauerei which was originally a beer brewery but now has become a symbol of cultural events and night life which is so typical for the Helmholtz quarter in general.
The apartment is very quiet but still well-connected, so that you can easily get to other parts of the city by using public transport (underground, tram, buses). The nearest U-Bahn station, Eberswalderstraße, is in easy walking distance.
The special thing about this cosy tasteful and bright two room apartment is the fact that it has been furnished in a modern way but also with a touch of GDR retro style.
You are reminded of this in the film Goodbye Lenin which the apartment was named after.
The apartment provides a small bedroom with a double bed as well as a sofa bed in the lounge, a kitchen as well as separate bathroom.
A flat screen TV, internet W-Lan high-speed and washing machine will make your stay extra comfortable.

Situato in uno dei quartieri piú amati e conosciuti, a Prenzlauer Berg, e nel centro dell’ Helmholtzkiez, luogo di incontro tra i giovani e famiglie con bambini. L’appartamento all’interno di un bellissimo edificio d’epoca si trova a Lychener Strasse a pochi passi dalla piazza che da appunto il nome al Kietz, la Helmholtzplatz dove si trova un bel giardino con un parco giochi per i piú piccoli. Se non sapete cosa sia un Kiez e come sia la vita all’interno di esso, allora dovrete provare questa esperienza di vita tipicamente berlinese, Goodbye Lenin vi aspetta.
Ogni singola strada è caratterizzata da locali, negozietti, botique e negozietti di seconda mano, chi abita qua non sa cosa significhi annoiarsi. La Kulturbrauerei, prima un antica fabbrica di birra, oggi simbolo di eventi culturali e punto di incontro per la vita notturna di tutto il quartiere, si trova direttamente a pochi metri dall’appartamento. Nel periodo dell’Avvento ospita uno dei piú bei mercatini natalizi.
Se invece volete uscire dai confini del Kiez e spostarvi ancora oltre, alla scoperta della cittá, potrete usare i numerosi mezzi di trasporto urbani (tram, bus e metro) di cui la zona è servita. La fermata della U-Bahn piú vicina (Eberswalderstrasse) è a pochi metri.
Il grazioso e luminoso bilocale è arredato con vivacità e con gusto, in stile moderno ma anche un pó retró, in memoria dei tempi della DDR, da cui l’appartamento si congeda ricordando il bellissimo film Good Bye Lenin nel suo nome. L’affaccio è su un cortile tranquillo e alberato.
Dispone di una piccola camera con letto matrimoniale, soggiorno-cucina con divano letto, bagno e può ospitare fino a 4 persone. Piccoli e grandi elettrodomestici come tv a schermo piatto, internet W-Lan, lavatrice e varie suppellettili renderanno gradevole il vostro soggiorno.
